In a CGI classroom, problem solving and student thinking is at the center of instruction.  Teachers pose purposeful problems, many problem solving strategies are used by students, students communicate their thinking, and teachers use this information to plan further instruction. Every student comes to school knowing some mathematics through formal and informal interactions with their surroundings. Teachers observe what students already know and support the extension of mathematical ideas.

I come to you with 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. I started the journey as an Assistant while in college. I was a Head Teacher for 11 years and a Mentor Teacher for Los Angeles Mission College for 9 years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood, Credentials in Family Services, permits in Program Director and Site Supervisor. My priority is to ensure that children are supported by staff that are caring and have high standards for children's learning. I am committed to providing opportunities for Teachers to collaborate with one another and deliver a school experience where families are welcome.
